Inventory Configuration

- Prior to using the inventory management feature, you must first configure the feature. In configuration you will create an inventory type, supplier list, location list, and assign your picker list.
- These items will be part of the profile for each piece of inventory when you create them.
- NOTE: You can also use the Bulk Import button to import a .CSV file to create your list of Inventory items, inventory types, supplier list, and locations.
1. Once on the Inventory Management page, click the “Configuration” Tab.

Inventory Types
2. First, create inventory types from the “Inventory Type” tab. Typically, users will create categories for their inventory using the “Types”, such as hardware, PPE, etc.

3. On this page you will see the list of your inventory types, to create a new inventory type, click the “Add Inventory Type” button.

4. Next, type your inventory type and click the “Create” button.

To edit an inventory type, click the edit icon next to the list of types on the Inventory Type page. You can also deactivate an inventory type to remove it from the inventory type list.

Supplier List
5. Next, you will need to create your supplier
list.

6. On this page, you will find your list of suppliers you have created. To create a new supplier, click the “Add Supplier List”.

7. Here you will name your supplier and add further details if applicable. Once complete, click the “Create” button.

To edit or deactivate a supplier, navigate to your list on the Supplier List page and click the edit icon or deactivate toggle to remove it from the supplier dropdown.

Location
8. Next, let’s create some locations. From the “Location” tab, you will see the list of current locations, to add a new one click the “Add Location” button. Typically, users will create locations such as “Shop”, “Warehouse”, etc.

9. This will bring up the “Add Location” window, type your location and click the “Create” button. You can add multiple locations at once by clicking “Add Value” and typing your additional locations in the text box.

Picker List
10. Now, let’s add users to the Picker List. After an order request has been approved, you will assign one of these pickers to fulfilling the order. From the “Picker List” tab, select the “Add Picker List” button.

11. This will open your add picker window, to add users click the checkbox next to their name in the “Unselected Add Picker” list. Once you’ve selected all the users you would like to add, click the “>” arrow to move them into the right-hand “Selected Picker” box. Once complete, click “Update”.

12. From the Picker List page, you will see your list of pickers. Here you can remove and deactivate users from inventory. Removing them will take them out of the list completely, while deactivating will leave them in the list as inactive.

Managing Inventory Users
To have access to inventory, users must first be enabled. This can be done on an individual user basis through the User Profile or can be done through the “Users” tab in Inventory.
Enable Inventory via User Profile
1. Go to “Users & Groups” on the side bar, then locate a user profile to edit or if you are creating a new user, click the “New User” button.

2. Next you will be in the “Add New User” or “Edit User” window, located at the bottom of this window you will see “App permissions”, here you can enable or disable Inventory and Time Tracking.

Note: The default for these features is disabled. You will still need to enable specific inventory functions through the “Users” tab in Inventory Configuration (Ordering, picker, receiver, etc.).
Enable Inventory via Inventory Configuration
1. From the inventory configuration page, select the “Users” tab.

2. This will bring you to a full list of users in your system, you can search by Name or Employee ID, use the toggles to enable inventory features for each user. Hovering over the toggle will tell you what it is for.

Inventory ordering: Allows the user to order inventory.

Picker: Allows users to pick inventory, they will be able to fulfill an inventory order.

Receiver: Allows users to restock inventory levels, they can increase the total number of units on hand when added to stock.

Only inventory: Users only have access to inventory on Mobile, they will not see any other icons such as Forms, New Form, Documents, etc.
