Introduction

Voice Observations is available across Web, iOS, and Android. Before your team can start submitting voice observations from the mobile app, an admin needs to enable access for users through the SafetyLoop web platform. This guide walks you through finding the Observations module and configuring mobile app access for your team.

Step 1: Navigate to Observations from the Dashboard

Log in to SafetyLoop at safetyloop.com. From the main dashboard, locate the left-hand navigation menu and click Observations, which is marked with a NEW badge. This will take you directly to the Voice Observations module.

Step 2: Explore the Voice Observations Page

The Voice Observations page gives you a full overview of the feature and your current observation activity. At a glance you can see your total observation count, how many are awaiting review, and whether any are flagged as critical.

Click How It Works in the top right to open a quick explainer panel that outlines the three-step process:

  1. Speak — Workers record a voice note in any language directly from the mobile app.

  2. AI Processes — SafetyLoop transcribes, translates to English, classifies by category and severity, and suggests follow-up actions in under 10 seconds.

  3. Take Action — Admins and managers review structured observations, create follow-up actions with one click, and track safety trends across the team.

The page also confirms that the feature supports 99+ languages, supports photos with timestamps, and generates AI-suggested actions automatically.

Step 3: Configure Mobile App Access for Your Team

To give your workers access to Voice Observations on their mobile devices, click the Configuration tab on the Observations page.

Under Mobile App Access, you'll see a list of all users in your organization along with their role and current access status. Use the toggle next to each user to enable or disable the Observations icon in their mobile app. You can also:

  • Use Enable All to turn on access for your entire team at once.

  • Use the search bar to find specific users by name, email, or ID.

  • Filter the list by All Users, or narrow by role to manage access in bulk.

Once a user is enabled, the Observations icon will appear in their SafetyLoop mobile app and they can begin submitting voice observations immediately.
